Working from home can seem fun but after a long time of having to stay home, we can get bored and not being productive. So to avoid being a couch potato, here are some tips or preparation that we can do to increase our productivity during work time and, also the quality of our work.

Communicate

You and your employees are not seeing each other face to face, so a lot of miscommunication and misunderstanding can happen. To avoid such things from happening, it is really important to communicate with your employees from time to time. Ask around about their conditions and if they need any help with their work. Sometimes working from home can be really hard because you are multitasking your personal life and also your working life. That is why communication is really important between you and your employees.

Set a time

Yes, you are working in the comfort of your home. However, this doesn’t mean you are working 24/7 hours. You are still being paid to work according to your working hour, so be responsible and finish all of your work by that time. Dragging your working hours can be exhausting on your physical and also mental. It is important to balance your working life and your personal life, don’t let your work interfere with your time to socialize with your family. Overwork yourself can lead to overstress and also burnout.

Personal space

Create a personal working space for yourself, having a personal working space can help you to focus more and will be able to deliver a better job. If you are living with your family, tell them that is your working space and you are expecting them to not disturb you when you are working. At your working area, you can put all of your working materials such as your laptop, notebook and etc. It is advisable to have your working space somewhere quiet like your room, or your study room. This is because you don’t want to get distracted by any noise or distraction during any meeting or presentation.

Working from home can be exhausting and stressful after a long time, that is why you need to find what works the best for you. Communicate with your authorities if things are hard at home, tell them if the workload is too much for you. After all, taking care of your well-being is what matters the most, you will only be able to deliver a good quality of work when you are healthy.
